The “key” to the scams was allegedly sim cards
The apology process is in full swing regarding the case of major electronic fraud investigated by Heraklion Security.
According to Security officials, the victims, who in this case file are around 6-7, they slept with money in their accounts and woke up penniless, without realizing what had happened.
So far, the amount they have allegedly seized from the specific cases mentioned in the case file, exceeds 120,000 euros (this is why prosecutions are criminal).
As Cretalive wrote, the warrants issued for the case are 14-15. THEThe main defendants live and operate in Athens, while persons from Crete, both Greeks and foreigners, are also involved.
The The “key” to the scams was allegedly the sim cardsas well as the use of fake documents since some persons recruited by the ring went and asked for a change of sim cards, without the knowledge of the real owners, and thus gained access to their electronic data.
The apology process is ongoing with five defendants who were arrested in Athens and transferred to Heraklion. On Saturday we had another apology – a woman – who was released with restrictive conditions, while more apologies will follow.
