The president of the Greek Roma Confederation and a relative of 16-year-old Makis Bottis, also appealed to the police for a discreet presence

Shocked by the death of 16-year-old Kostas Fragoulis, the president of the Greek Roma Confederation and a relative of Kostas, Makis Bontis, says.

“The child left unjustly. To render justice as it is rendered equally for all. Justice is laws, not persons”he said himself.

Referring to whether friends and relatives will gather outside the hospital as well as at the funeral, he said that a lot of people will gather, but there is no intention to cause any incidents. “People will come for the child”, he noted, while addressing an appeal to the police to have a discreet presence.

“We all have to endure these times and this will be the gain. We knew the mechanically supported child would die. If he disconnected from the machines he would end up. We were waiting for a miracle. Since it didn’t happen, we ask the justice system to be able to ease everyone’s pain so that such accidents do not happen and such children do not leave unjustly”, Mr. Bottis concluded.

According to information, upon hearing the news of the 16-year-old’s death, shops and businesses on Pontou Street rushed to close for fear of new episodes of anger in the area.
