A radio producer who had an affair with Petros Filippidis when he was a student at the Art Theater, a retired, former executive of the National Theater and another woman, a current executive of the National Theater, testified in court today

The image of a giving, calm person, with impeccable collaborations, was transferred to Mixed Jury Court defense witnesses for the accused in three cases of sexual violence Petrou Filippidis.

In the absence of the actor, who is ill, the trial continued today with the testimony of witnesses proposed by the accused.

In her testimony, a radio producer who said she had an affair with the defendant for five years when he was a student at the Art Theater, described the defendant as “a well-rounded person, a sensitive character with empathy.”

As reported by the woman, who emphasized that they never stopped being friends with him Petros Filippidis, “during our relationship he was very loving and giving, he wasn’t aggressive, he wasn’t even nervous.” He also testified that “when I saw the complaints I felt a huge shock. I’m pro-metoo, I’m pro-reporting. The whole society should be like this and not just a movement.” However, he added: “I accept that if someone can speak now, let them speak. I respect that. But if you say it on the spot, someone else will be saved too. After 10 years I don’t know what’s the point.”

Defense: How do you explain so many complaints?

Witness: The motive may not have been seen. The motivation of each complainant may not be common.

Defense: If you were raped, would you forget it?

Witness: I don’t even forget the harassment I suffered.

A retired, former executive of the National Theater and a current working executive of the leading theater and cultural organization also testified in court, who emphasized that there was never a problem with their collaboration with Petros Filippidis.

“Petros never behaved violently, he never got out of control. He was not a tyrant or crazy,” said the pensioner, who emphasized that “nothing had ever been heard. I believe it hadn’t been heard because nothing had happened.”

This particular witness commented on the testimony of Mrs. Evelinas Papoulias, saying that she was impressed that he “described something and said that she was not bothered by it and continued to work with Filippidis. He teased her that he insulted her at an acting school. But is it possible?”

The current executive of the National Theater testified that there were never any protests or complaints during rehearsals. “Everything that has been happening all this time has another perspective: as soon as someone goes to say something positive about Filippidis on TV, they cut him off in the air. They unpin a man, they imprisoned him, they want to see him on the gallows? Why; Haven’t they had enough? Does forgiveness not exist at all?’

The trial continues.
