Invitation to enlist in the Army with the 2023 A΄/ESSO

The circular order of the Ministry of National Defense was posted today in Diaugeia, by which they are invited to enlist in the Army with the 2023 A/ESSO categories of conscripts.

Those who are called up from a postponement of enlistment for health reasons, as well as conscripts of other categories and insubordinates who at any time received a postponement of enlistment for health reasons, are obliged to present themselves for enlistment at the Military Reception Points (SYPO) – Recruit Training Centers (KEN) referred to in the order from 11 to 13 January 2023, while the other applicants are required to present themselves for classification in the mentioned in the SYPO-KEN order from 16 to 19 January 2023.

Specifically, they are invited to enlist in the Army with the 2023 A/ESSO:

a. The conscripts of class 2025 (year of birth 2004) who are registered or are undeclared in the male registers of the prefecture of Xanthi (only the municipalities of Abdira, Mykis and Topeiros),

b. The conscripts of classes 2000 to 2024 (years of birth 1979 to 2003), from all prefectures that are subject to conscription and are categories one to four (I/1 to I/4), full or reduced term, regardless of whether they have whether or not they finished basic or special education and the reasons for their obligation to rank were created in the period from 1 September to 31 October 2022,

c. The enlisted conscripts of the classes of paragraph 1b hereof who were postponed enlistment for health reasons and the reasons for their obligation to enlist were created in the period from November 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022,

d. Conscripts and insubordinates after the cessation of their insubordination, who were postponed classification as hospitalized, in accordance with article 15 of Law 3421/2005,

e. Conscripts and insubordinates, whose enlistment date was moved for health reasons, in accordance with paragraph 7c of article 37 of Law 3421/2005,

f. The conscripts and insubordinates who were referred to the competent health committee and were judged capable of category one (I/1) up to and including fourth (I/4), in accordance with the first paragraph of paragraph 8 of article 37 of Law 3421/2005,

g. The conscripts whose request to postpone classification for social reasons was rejected by the competent administration of recruiting services, in accordance with the second paragraph of paragraph 3 of article 29 of Law 3421/2005,

h. Those who submitted supporting documents for their classification as pre-ordained Hoplites, in accordance with article 38 of Law 3421/2005, as long as the official needs allow it. They have the right to withdraw their supporting documents at any time or not to be classified without suffering consequences,

i. The conscripts who, by orders of the Military Directorate (B4) of the General Staff of the Army, apart from the above categories, joined or will join the 2023 A΄/ESSO for various reasons (service needs, satisfaction of conscript requests, etc.).

j. The permanent residents abroad referred to in paragraph 3 of article 40 of Law 3421/2005 who submitted an application for initial classification of partial fulfillment of their term of office,

ya. Those belonging to the classes of paragraph 1b of this present, who come from the category of insubordinates,

l. The conscripts who, by order of GEETHA/B4, were transferred or will be transferred to the Army from the other Branches of the Armed Forces and are required to enlist with the 2023 A΄/ESSO,

m. The conscripts and insubordinates of paragraph 1 of article 57 of Law 3421/2005 who wish to be enlisted in the Army outside the ESSO, in accordance with paragraphs 5 and 6 of article 1 (s.s. who have completed the thirty-third (33rd) year of their age), from January 20, 2023 until the day before the 1st classification day of 2023 B΄/ESSO,

no. Conscripts who:

– Received a postponement of classification for social reasons, following their invitation with the 2022 E΄/ESSO,

– They retroactively received a postponement of classification for social reasons, following their invitation with the 2022 E΄/ESSO, as long as they have not already been classified and the last day of classification of the 2023 A΄/ESSO (January 19, 2023) has not passed, according to paragraph 5 of article 29 of Law 3421/2005. Those who had at any time received a postponement of classification for health reasons, can be classified within the deadline up to the last date of classification of the ESSO at the Military Reception Points (SYPO) – Recruit Training Centers (KEN) mentioned in the order,

– They received a postponement of classification for social reasons, following their invitation with the 2022 F΄/ESSO and discontinued it, in accordance with paragraph 8 of article 29 of Law 3421/2005.

Those of those invited in paragraph 1 of this present who are declared insubordinate, due to their non-classification, will be called for classification, during their insubordination, with this order.

Finally, the invitees should submit to SYPO-KEN, among other things, the results of a molecular detection control (PCR test) of the COVID-19 coronavirus, which should have been carried out within seventy-two (72) hours before the classification date.

The detection check is carried out free of charge in public hospitals, health centers, designated regional clinics or military hospitals, upon presentation of the rank note and police identification card or other official identification, in accordance with the applicable legislation.
