The traffic accident that happened at 05:30 in the morning on Souniou Avenue in the area of Peta Saronicou with the victim of a 52-year-old municipal cleaning worker is causing a shock.
According to the information so far, a car driven by a young resident of Kerateas, unknown why, fell with force and carried away the unfortunate employee at the moment he was trying to place a large metal bin on the special arm of the garbage truck.
The municipality car, according to the same information, was in the stream from Keratea to Kalyvia at the height of Lidl, with the special lights and alarms on.
As pointed out by the traffic police, the road is double-divided and has a very low speed limit as it passes through a residential area with houses and shops.
The 52-year-old employee of the Municipality, unfortunately, was very seriously injured and was taken with an amputated leg to the KAT hospital where the doctors are fighting to keep him alive.
As they say from the hospital, after a long surgery the bleeding stopped, however there are multiple wounds on internal organs and every hour that passes is particularly critical for his life.
From the first moment at the side of the unfortunate employee at the hospital are his colleagues as well as the mayor of Saronikos Petros Filippou with many of his associates.
The young driver of the car was slightly injured and taken to the local Health Center. As colleagues of the 52-year-old say, he works two jobs to make ends meet financially while raising two children and is particularly well-liked.
