bwin, true to its vision for a better society, continued in 2022 with the dynamic reconstruction of new sports facilities. From Didymoteicho and Samothrace to Kiato and Sapes, the message was common: all children and young people should have access to modern sports facilities and participate equally in the sporting ideal.
The leading brand together with the Association “Together for the Child” and Ambassador the legend of the European stadiums Vassilis Spanoulis, reconstructed even more stadiums, in the effort to grow the sports movement. Double wall: The first “stop” of a magical journey
In rural Didymoteicho, school sports were reborn! bwin took action in one of the most remote corners of our country, proving that it proceeds with social responsibility actions with the sole focus of the needs of the local community. In collaboration with the “Together for the Child” Association, it offered the children of Didymoteicho a real sporting outlet. In the 3rd Primary School of the city, two basketball and volleyball/handball courts were reconstructed (with a total area of more than 790 sq.m.), which accommodate the sports dreams and needs of the entire local community every day. The two pitches, where a special safe carpet has been laid, are used in professional facilities. The courts became usable, while the beautified courtyard makes the place more beautiful. Everyday life changed for the better and Didymoteicho was lit up by children’s smiles and the shine of the new pitches.
Samothraki: Three new stadiums, more smiles
The journey started in Didymoteicho and continued in beautiful Samothraki. bwin and the Union “Together for the Child” responded warmly to the request of the residents of Samothrace and the result vindicated all involved. The three new courts (with a total area of more than 1,200 sq.m.) spread excitement in the local community and smiles appeared on the faces of the children of the arid island. Sports is an area that is significantly affected by the difficulties in the critical areas and at the same time it can offer valuable outlets to the children of remote communities, helping them in a number of factors concerning both their physical and mental health. bwin supports societies in practice, it is next to the children, since it knows well that sport offers socialization and “forges” their character and body. Thus, he reconstructed three playgrounds, changing the daily life of hundreds of students. The leading betting brand left in Samothrace a wonderful sports “legacy” that changed the lives of the youth, offering them new sports opportunities!
Kiato: Led by Vassilis Spanoulis
With Vassilis Spanoulis leading the way in Kiato, the bwin team together with the “Together for the Child” Union, proudly proceeded with the reconstruction of yet another stadium. With passion and love, a new school playground was transformed and the children’s smiles were the greatest reward. The European basketball legend and bwin ambassador, Vassilis Spanoulis, presented himself at the court, talked to the children, took pictures and shared with them the secrets of the sport. bwin delivered a beautiful and even pitch for use. The priority of the leading betting brand is to create safe and functional infrastructures to attract more and more children to sports. More than 100 children from the school and from the wider area play on the new field. After all, sports is part of bwin’s DNA and the support for the work of the Union and the local communities proves in practice the goal it has set, to “return” these modern, safe, functional stadiums to the communities.
Sapes: The ball – V-Span’s message and the new pitch
The journey across Greece continued and Sapes Rhodope was another important stop. bwin and the Association “Together for the Child” completely rebuilt a stadium, thus making a gift of great importance to the children and young people in our rural area. The wonderful initiative that aims to promote noble rivalry and the sporting ideal was put into practice again and the ball signed by the coach of Peristeriou bwin, Vassilis Spanoulis, was the message that through sports children and young people learn to respect, to play with rules and limits, to fight and claim.
bwin in collaboration with the “Together for the Child” Association, managed to deliver reconstructed more than 3,000 sq.m. stadiums all over Greece. With the sole aim of children becoming protagonists in sports, the leading brand and the Union will continue this effort!
