This interest in holidaying in Greece comes as easyJet research shows that 64% of Britons intend to travel abroad in 2023.

At the same time, searches for foreign travel on the popular website Skyscanner increased last month by 90% compared to a month earlier.

However, another survey, by the insurance company InsureAndGo, of a sample of 2,000 Britons, showed that 71% believe that Mediterranean destinations such as Greece, Spain and Turkey will be too hot to visit sometime by 2027.

In a related publication, the Times notes that the temperature in Greece in May reached 37 degrees Celsius.

The newspaper’s recommendation for Mediterranean travel is to avoid the height of summer and prefer spring and autumn.
