The prosecutor, after prosecuting all 5 (three Cretans and two Pakistanis) for drug trafficking together, while in some cases members of the group are accused of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition, then referred them to the investigator. There they asked for and got a deadline to apologize on Tuesday.

On Thursday morning, a large police operation was carried out in Heraklion and Rethymnon, during which 5 people were arrested, accused of forming a criminal group active in the cultivation of cannabis seedlings and drug trafficking.

During the operation, an investigation was carried out in a greenhouse in the area of ​​the Municipality of Agios Vassiliou, where two cannabis plantations were found to be diligently cultivated, consisting of a total of 744 cannabis seedlings in the development stage, which were uprooted and confiscated.

A specially designed area was also located in the greenhouse which was used as a drying room, where they were also found a total of 30 kilograms and 150 grams of raw cannabis were seized. The two Pakistanis were found there and arrested.

In searches carried out in the homes of the three Cretans, a total of: was found and confiscated:

  • 9 Hunting weapons,
  • 23 cartridges,
  • 3 cell phones and
  • the sum of 200 euros as proceeds from illegal activities

In addition, three vehicles were seized as means of committing illegal acts.
