According to the statistics released by ASEP for the 5,124 positions of the large written competition, 107,957 applications were submitted – one in four candidates under 30 years of age
Statistical data for applications to participate in the great pan-Hellenic written competition (invitation – announcement 2C/2022) for 5,124 permanent positions to public bodies, ASEP announced.
According to them, in total they were submitted 107,957 applications (78,179 University Education -PE and 29,778 Technological Education -TE) for which the check of payment of the required fee has been completed. In practice, there are 21 applications for each position!
The vast majority of the declarations of preference of PE candidates concern the branch – specialty PE of Citizen Affairs Processing/PE Administrative Finance/Administrative/Administrative Consular with 52,925 preferences.
Accordingly, the first with a difference in the preferences of TE candidates is the similar branch – TE specialty Handling Citizen Affairs/TE Administrative – Accounting/Administrative/Administrative – Finance with 16,641 preferences.
The increased number of preferences is due to the fact that degrees or diplomas from any HEI or TEI school respectively, including the Hellenic Open University, were accepted for the specific branches.
In the number of preferences of PE candidates, the Finance branch follows with 17,592 preferences, as well as Law (4,079), Archaeologists (3,565) and Agriculture (3,326), Environmental Sciences (3,205), Informatics (2,882), Sociology (2,751), Civil Engineering (1,788) and Psychologists (1,727 preferences).
Also popular among TE candidates are the branches – TE Accountants/TE Financial Accounting/TE Finance (10,428), Information Technology (3,252) and Agriculture/Agricultural Technologists (2,684), Civil Engineering (2,013) and Tourism Business Administration/Tourism Professions (1,813) preferences).
In terms of the number of applications for participation by age, 24,569 were submitted by candidates up to 30 years old, 48,067 from 31 to 40 years old, 29,210 from 41 to 50 years old and 6,111 from candidates aged 51 and over.
Finally, regarding the geographical distribution of the candidates, according to ASEP data, 33,418 applications come from the Regional Units of Attica and 74,539 from the rest of the country.
