Starting in February, Instituto Inhotim, one of the most important museums in the country, will have an extra free day: the last Sunday of each month. Inhotim is installed in the mining town of Brumadinho, 60 km from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais.

To book the ticket, you need to access the Sympla system, where the museum already sells tickets, with a valid date from February 26th. The exemption, which is sponsored by B3, will extend until January 2024 (in December, the free Sunday will be the 17th, due to holidays).

The box office will open quarterly and already has reservations for the months of February, March and April.

In addition to Sundays, there is also free admission on the last Wednesday of the month – in January, the date will be the 27th. Admission to the museum costs R$50 (full price; children up to 5 years old do not pay) and alternatively, a passport (R$ $120) with free pass for three days.

It is common for visitors to book a weekend to visit the space, which has 23 galleries spread over a total area of 140 hectares —where a collection of around 4,300 species of plants is located.

Inhotim has in its collection emblematic names of Brazilian and international contemporary art production.

In the collection, works by Adriana Varejão, Cildo Meireles, Claudia Andujar, Doris Salcedo, Hélio Oiticica, Lygia Pape and Tunga can be seen. The space features paintings, sculptures, drawings, photographs, videos and installations by around 60 artists.
