The man who was arrested was allegedly involved in incidents with police officers
The police carried out a police operation in the settlement of Agia Sofia in Diavata this morning (13/1) after the incident that occurred earlier, when two people were arrested for infidelity, which caused the reaction of other Roma, writes the GrTimes.
During the new major police operation, 68 people, 57 vehicles and one house were checked, while during the checks a 27-year-old Roma was arrested who participated in the incidents with the police, having damaged a patrol car.
In addition, during the investigations, license plates that had been removed from a vehicle were found in a makeshift dump next to the settlement, and three traffic violations were confirmed.
Police officers from the Property Crimes Department of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate participated in the operation, with the assistance of the Crime Prevention and Suppression Department of the same Directorate, the Delta Security Department, and the Directorates of Traffic, Police Operations, Direct Action and Foreigners of Thessaloniki.
