A 57-year-old man was arrested in Kaminia for consecutive frauds against the elderly in various areas of Attica.
According to EL.AS, since the beginning of 2020, the 57-year-old pretending, on a case-by-case basis, to be an accountant, an electricity consumption measurement technician, a natural gas system maintainer, a person who settled matters of land registry and urban planning, entered the homes of elderly people and removed sums of money and jewellery.
After a search of his home in the area of ​​Kaminia, a large amount of jewelry and valuables, for which he could not justify their possession and the sum of 1,500 euros, were found and confiscated.
A total of 11 cases of fraud against the elderly in various regions of Attica were investigated.
The arrested person was taken to the competent Prosecutor, while the investigation into other criminal acts continues.
