As the Undersecretary characteristically states speaking to SKAI, there were sexual relations between the boys from the age of 7 to 11 in front of employees. “The complaint does not specify whether the employees made them do it, but it mentions specific sexual relations and acts between very young boys and there was no reaction or intervention from the employees.”

The complaint was made known to the Undersecretary a few days ago, but it has reached the board of directors of the body since the end of September, the Undersecretary noted.

“The prosecutor, the police and the social services of the municipality were not informed of the incidents until the complaint reached us,” she said, noting that she had filed an indictment allowing the dismissal of the employees concerned: “The reaction was immediate, we went to the prosecutor’s office the next day and I filed an indictment, at which point a prosecutor’s investigation begins. “From the moment the investigation begins, the specific persons are reported and according to the law we passed two months ago, the specific complaint is enough to prevent them from working in the orphanage and leaving.” The funding for the orphanage also froze, he added
