A moving event was organized by the Parents’ Association of the 5th Lyceum of Kalamaria against fan violence, on the occasion of the one year anniversary of his murder Alki Kampanou.

Students wore jerseys of different teams and were photographed hugging veteran football players of Thessaloniki teams. In fact, they put up a banner that read “Killers out of the stadiums. Justice for every Moose”.

Then there was a speech by the member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Thessaloniki Coaches Michalis Thalassino. “On the occasion of the recent interview of Alki’s father who characteristically stated that the death of my son should be the occasion to change society, but also hundreds of children and athletes here in the area of Thessaloniki that this particular event shocked them, the reflection and the discussion about whether it is possible to put a stop to all these barbaric phenomena is certainly a first step and an occasion for change”, he said, among other things.

Afterwards, Lakis Papaioannou, a veteran of Herakles, Venos Yiannis, a veteran of Aris, Mladen Furtoula, a veteran of PAOK, and Giorgos Nifopoulos, a veteran of Apollon Kalamaria, greeted each other.

The event closed with a minute’s silence in Alki’s memory.
