Three Greeks – one aged 16, the other two aged 17 – and a 16-year-old Albanian were arrested by police officers of the Athens Security Directorate, accused of being members of a gang and, as the case may be, robbery with complicity, dangerous bodily harm, violation of law on weapons and addictive substances.
According to ELAS, on the evening of last Sunday, January 29, in a park in New Smyrna, the defendants suddenly surrounded a 15-year-old Ukrainian and stabbed him in his right thigh, while they punched him all over his body.
Immediately after, they took his mobile phone, a purse containing his personal belongings and a sum of money and fled, while the 15-year-old was taken to the Children’s Hospital.
From the police searches carried out in houses where the defendants live in Nea Smyrni and Ampelokipi, among other things, the following were found and confiscated: A pocket knife, the clothes they wore during the attack, a bicycle they used as a means of escape, two mobile phones and a photograph, in print, depicting the 15-year-old.
Those arrested are to be taken to the competent prosecutor.
