“It was as if we were entering a slaughterhouse,” said o police officer of Immediate Action, describing the scene of the crime, when he was called to go to Gazi Street, in the area of ​​Harilaou, where the murderous episode took place.
As he reported, he saw Alki in a “pool of blood”, while he rushed to give him first aid, trying to stop the bleeding, with the 19-year-old shouting “here”, pointing to the groin, where he had been hit. But the efforts turned out to be in vain as shortly after, he cooled down.
“The shock, when a child leaves your arms, is great,” said the policeman, according to which, next to the unfortunate 19-year-old was his friend and close friend, who was hit during the same attack and who gave the policemen some information about what had happened.

Earlier, the 20-year-old man who was present at the attack, but managed to escape without being injured, completed his testimony, while a second police officer from the Crimes Against Life Department of the Thessaloniki Security Service is expected to take the witness stand afterwards.
Cross-examined by the court, the 20-year-old described the moment of the attack, saying “I saw 5-6 people coming towards me […] I saw a knife and crowbar […] I understood that something is wrong”, with him receiving “some punches” but without being injured, after putting his hands up for cover, while he described how he managed to escape by running towards Plastira Street, even though someone momentarily tried to chase him.
Alki’s parents are still present in the courtroom of the Mixed Jury Court, watching the proceedings.
