“I’m not happy about other people’s bad times – I’ll keep going though because I don’t forget all those people who threw mud throughout the trial”
Yesterday, Wednesday, Petros Filippidis was found not guilty due to suspicion of rape and guilty of the two attempted rapes by the Mixed Jury Court of Athens.
The first comment after yesterday’s court decision was made today by Penelope Anastasopoulou, one of the three complainants in the trial against the actor, through her radio show.
“Yesterday was a big day, the decision was made for Petros Filippidis. If people think that there is joy in other people’s bad times they are wrong, there is no such thing.
The goal has always been – and I’m talking about me personally – to set an example and to stop the abusive behavior of specific people, in this case of Petros Filippidis,” he said.
About the decision of unanimous acquittal due to doubts on the charge of rape, the actress and presenter said: “I want to open my arms and put the first complainant in because I feel that this girl was not vindicated.”
She then emphasized that she “will continue” because “she does not forget all those people who threw mud throughout the trial at all of us, with remarks like “when Filippidis is acquitted they will all run to hide”
