He was found guilty of domestic bodily harm yesterday by the Single-Member Court of Appeal for Dodecanese Felonies, 60 years old while he was acquitted of the crime of the distinguished case of theft of objects worth more than 120,000 euroswho was also accused.

In fact, the court recognized the mitigating factor of sincere remorse to the 60-year-old and imposed 6 months imprisonment with a three-year suspension.

According to the indictment, on March 8, 2018, the 60-year-old man was accused of going to the business of his 56-year-old wife and taking the amount of 3,000 euros from her, while she was absent.

But also on March 10, 2018, he was accused of going to the same business again in the morning hours, where again, taking advantage of his wife’s absence, he withdrew the sum of money from 267,074 euros and various other items.

Regarding the domestic bodily harm for which the 60-year-old was convicted, according to the indictment the incident allegedly took place on July 12, 2016 at the house where he lived with his wife, with whom they had an argument when she refused to give him money that she was asking for. Then the 60-year-old took a wooden rolling pin and hit the 56-year-old who was lying on the sofa in the living room, getting kicked in the body and legs.
