It is expected that the estranged husband of Roula Pispirigou, Manos Daskalakis, will have a difficult and lengthy procedure before the Mixed Jury Court today, who is called to answer the questions of the defendant’s defense regarding the death of their first child, 9-year-old Georgina.

The father of the three children who, according to the Justice, were led to death by the hands of their mother, will today continue the testimony that began on January 31 in court, with the process proceeding with his examination by the 34-year-old lawyer, Alexis Kougia .

As everything shows the 34-year-old’s lawyer temporarily detained defendant, intends to make it very difficult for the father of three who is on the side of the prosecution opposite the woman who a year ago considered not only innocent but also an “exemplary mother”. Mr. Kougias even said outside the court in the previous session that in the next trial, i.e. in today’s “someone will be found accused”, taking care to clarify that he does not mean any new accused for Georgina’s death.

The witness told the court that “I supported the accused until she was arrested” as there was not the slightest evidence, he said, to make him doubt the mother of his children. He also said that in retrospect he gives a different interpretation to events and now, supporting the admissions of the indictment, he connects the incidents that the children showed, with crises in his relationship with Roula Pispirigou.

As Manos Daskalakis said, the loss of Georgina is directly related to his decision to leave once more the house where he had returned when the 9-year-old girl became totally disabled after a seizure episode she suffered in the Hospital. According to Mr. Daskalakis, his refusal to accept the 34-year-old’s proposal to “find them” and correspondingly her own refusal to accept that his return was solely related to the child’s condition, was what drove the little girl again, to the Hospital and then to his loss. “He did it to punish me” said the witness in court, giving occasion to the defense of Roula Pispirigou to state that with this version, Manos Daskalakis “shredded the indictment”. According to Mr. Kouya, the witness’s claim in court is a completely different condition from the one accepted by the indictment, which considers the 34-year-old’s obsession to “keep at home” her ex-husband as the motive for the murders.

The 31-year-old father is expected to today he will be questioned for everything and is said to be prepared for the “battle” of substance but also of impressions in which he will be asked not only to repeat what his former wife’s defense has noted in the previous meeting, but also what Mr. Kougias who from the beginning has questioned everything stating that the case of Roula Pispirigou is a “judicial error”.
