The working meeting was held by the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Christos Stylianidisfollowing the order of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, following last Friday’s meeting at Megaro Maximos.

In the context of the meeting, as the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection states in its announcement, a detailed briefing was given on the current situation and it was agreed to proceed with the necessary procedures for immediate pre-earthquake control, with priority in schools and hospitals. Furthermore, as the ministry notes, the decisions will be detailed and announced in the coming days.

In addition, the Deputy Minister of the Interior Stelios Petsas, the Deputy Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Evangelos Tournas, the Deputy Minister of Spatial Planning and Urban Environment Nikolaos Tagaras and the Secretary General of Civil Protection, Vasilios Papageorgiou, also participated in the meeting.

Also participating were the president of the Central Association of Municipalities of Greece Dimitrios Papastergiou, the president of the Anti-Seismic Planning and Protection Organization, Professor Efthimios Lekkas, the president of the Technical Chamber of Greece Georgios Stasinos, as well as the director of Emergency Response Planning of the General Secretariat of Civil Protection Dimitris Alexandris. .
