At a depth of 85 meters below the earth’s surface, Malakopi in Cappadocia, now called Derinkuyu, is one of the largest underground cities in neighboring Turkey.

The landscape, after all, looked lunar. Rocks from volcanoes that erupted thousands of years ago, stone “chimneys” flying from the ground, limestone peaks sculpted by wind and nature.
Foreign visitors often choose to fly in a hot air balloon in order to admire the wonderful landscape from above, which keeps the history and tradition unchanged.
