A firearm caliber was found at the crime scene, where a 44-year-old employee of a convenience store in the area of Toumpa in Thessaloniki, died after an attempted robbery.
The seriously injured 44-year-old, who later recovered at the AHEPA hospital, was located, according to the authorities, by a passing citizen.

“Early in the morning today (06-11-2021), a citizen passing by a convenience store in the area of Toumpa, located the 44-year-old local employee of the company injured.
According to the police investigation, earlier in the day, an unknown man, with masked features on his face, entered the aforementioned store, where with a gun threat, he removed an unknown amount of money. During the reaction of the victim, the perpetrator managed to hit him on the head with the handle of the weapon.
The 44-year-old man was taken to a city hospital where, initially, craniocerebral injuries were found. A little later it ended.
A special team of the Criminological Investigations Sub-Directorate of Northern Greece is investigating the crime scene, in which a firearm shell was found.
A forensic autopsy-necropsy examination was ordered.
Investigations are underway and general searches have been issued to locate and arrest the perpetrator.
