The case of attempted homicide against two 21-year-old foreigners that took place in the evening hours of February 28, 2023 in the area of ​​Agios Panteleimonas was solved by the Athens Security Sub-Directorate of the Attica Security Directorate.

A 24-year-old man was identified and arrested as the perpetrator. A case file was filed against him for attempted murder and violation of weapons legislation. A man who participated in the attack is still being sought.

In particular, the 24-year-old man together with the other perpetrator were crossing a street in the area of ​​Agios Panteleimons, when they crossed paths with the 21-year-old foreigners.

According to ELAS, the two perpetrators approached the foreigners and attacked them, beating them.

The 24-year-old hit a victim in the head with the handle of his pistol and then fired three times at them, but without hitting them.

At the scene of the attack, 2 shell casings and a cartridge were collected and confiscated.

In a search conducted at the 24-year-old’s home, an additional cartridge was found and confiscated.

The arrested person will be taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens.
