Relatives, friends, colleagues and a crowd of people with sadness and pain said “goodbye” today Monday Giannis Kariotis, ticket inspector of the fatal passenger train in the tragedy of Tempe.
The funeral service was performed by the Holy Church of Agios Konstantinos and Eleni Sykaminos, Municipality of Oropos.
In his condolence message, the Municipality of Oropou speaks of a good friend and excellent family man, wishing strength and courage to his own people:
“Relatives, friends, colleagues and a crowd of people with sadness and pain “farewelled” on Monday 6/3 to Yiannis Kariotis, ticket controller of the fatal passenger train in the Tempe tragedy. The funeral service was performed by the Holy Church of Agios Konstantinos and Eleni Sykaminos, Municipality of Oropos. Condolences to his wife, children, sister, relatives and friends. Yiannis Kariotis, originally from Sykaminos, was a good friend and family man, an excellent professional. We will always remember him and honor him in every thought for a better Greece. Strength and courage to his family, declared the mayor of Oropou Giorgos Giasimakis.
