The headquarters of ELAS points out that the investigation to identify and arrest the perpetrators is ongoing
The Minister of Citizen Protection, Takis Theodorikakos, in a telephone conversation he had directly with Yanis Varoufakis, after the attack on the secretary of MeRA25, by unknown persons, this evening in Exarchia, as a result of which he was injured, wished him a speedy recovery and assured that the Hellenic Police will immediately take all the necessary actions to locate and arrest the perpetrators
At the same time, the headquarters of ELAS clarifies in its announcement that “during the period in question, the secretary of MeRA25 was not accompanied by his personal police guard on his own initiative. From the first moment that the Greek Police was informed, policemen from the State Security Sub-Directorate went immediately to the hospital, where the secretary of MeRA25 had gone to provide first aid”.
The headquarters of ELAS also points out that “the investigation to identify and arrest the perpetrators is ongoing, while the preliminary investigation work is carried out by the Sub-Directorate of State Security of the Attica Security Directorate”.
