The price of coronavirus molecular tests (PCR) will be set below 60 euros and close to 50 euros, as announced by the Minister of Development, Adonis Georgiadis, speaking on SKAI TV and the show “Simera”.
The relevant ministerial decision will be issued as he said today at noon while no one will be able to exceed this new price as it is a pricing.
Mr. Georgiadis stressed that the price is set in such a way that it is more advantageous for the citizen and does not jeopardize the process itself, as if most laboratories do not have the slightest profit or even small loss, then the tests will are made from fewer centers and the wait and pressure will increase in the rest.
For PCR prescription request
Regarding the request of the doctors to prescribe the molecular tests, the Minister of Development stressed that they withdrew their request when they realized that it would mean their inclusion in the claw back mechanism.

Mr. Georgiadis responded to the criticism he received for his statement about the end of the pandemic, saying that “they fell to eat him” because he said that in a month we will have got rid of this phase of the pandemic wave.
