In the long term, the judicial investigations after the tragic accident in Tempe will be extended with the aim of investigating mistakes, negligence and omissions in the Greek railway.

The signal was given yesterday by the prosecutor of the Supreme Court Isidoros Dogiakoswho, in a written order, asked the interim administrator and managing director of OSE SA, Panagiotis Terezakis, to send all the files for the railway accidents made over the last 15 years across the national rail network.

As mentioned in Mr. Dogiakou’s order, the management of the OSE is obliged to inform the supreme prosecutor’s office how many fatal railway accidents have occurred in the last 15 years, where they occurred, how many victims there were, how many died, how many were injured and what happened to the seeking criminal liability for those responsible.

This action by Mr. Dogiakos aims to check whether the responsibilities assigned for the accidents of the last 15 years were the appropriate ones or whether, apart from those who were possibly prosecuted or convicted or acquitted, there were other people who were not investigated and related case files must be re-evaluated.

As is known, Mr. Diogiakos has requested and is studying the file on the railway accident in Adendros, Thessaloniki, which occurred in May 2017 and had 4 dead and 10 injured, for which only one of the train drivers who survived the accident and the who was acquitted.

Chr. Vourliotis: The research on the contracts of the OSE goes back 15 years

In a depth of 15 years he determined the control for OSE contracts, the head of the Anti-Money Laundering Authority Char. Vourliotis.

The financial prosecutor attended on Monday an event held at the International University and on the sidelines of it, answering a related question from the “Voria” website, he said that any financial misconduct or illegality that occurred in the last 15 years in OSE contracts will be identified while the audit will concern dozens of persons in positions of responsibility both in the OSE and in companies that do business with the Organization.

“Whatever is wrong will be found,” noted Mr. Vourliotis.
