“Large Scale Fire Exercising» will take place on tunnels of the perimeter of Patras and specifically in “Agia Varvara” tunnelon the evening of Wednesday March 15 to the early hours of Thursday March 16, 2023.

For the safety of the participants in the Exercise and the drivers passing by, there will be a short night stoppage of traffic in both directions between the junctions of Patras – K1 (P.O. 204,600) and Eglicada (P.O. 212,600) from 21:00 on Wednesday night until 06:00 on Thursday morning at the latest.

During the Exercise, traffic will be diverted towards the city of Patras, as follows:

  • in the direction of Pyrgos, it will be diverted from the Patras Interchange – K1 towards the city of Patras, following the route on N.E.O. Athens-Patra, Kanellopoulos, Heroes Polytechnic, Akti Dymaia and Eleftherios Venizelos. It will return to the Perimetriki of Patras in the direction of Pyrgos through the Eglykada Junction.
  • in the direction of Athens, it will be diverted from the Eglycada Junction towards the city of Patras, following the route along Eleftheriou Venizelos, Akti Dymaia, Trios Navarchos, Agios Andreou, Norman, Iroen Polytechneiou and Kanellopoulos streets. He will return to N.E.O. Athens-Patra in the direction of Athens.

The planned “Large-Scale Fire Exercising” will be carried out in collaboration with the Fire Service and with the participation of all involved bodies, the Ministry of Transport Infrastructure, the Hellenic Police and the EKAB.
