Recipe for chocolate pie with pecan nuts to start the new year sweetly

Chocolate pie. A sweet for many “uses”. You can enjoy it for breakfast, for dessert or to accompany your afternoon coffee.

Here you will see a chocolate pie with pecan nuts, to make it and start this new year a little sweeter than the previous one logically left you.

Materials:
For the base:

5 cups flour for all uses
4 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 teaspoons salt
2 cups unsalted butter, cold, cut into cubes
1 cup cold buttermilk plus 2 to 3 tablespoons even if the dough is dry
For the filling:

250 grams of couverture
5 large eggs
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons flour for all uses
2 tablespoons milk (of any fat content)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 1/2 cups pecans, coarsely chopped
Implementation:
Put the flour, sugar and salt in the bowl of the mixer. Mix them until combined. Pour the butter into cubes over the flour and beat for 5 minutes until the butter is incorporated. Add the buttermilk and beat until the dough starts to form. Pour the dough into a well-floured pan. Cover with cling film and refrigerate for at least an hour or overnight. Remove the baking tray with the chocolate pie base from the fridge. Carefully place the dough (after you have spread it to be rectangular) in a pan. There should be dough hanging on the sides. Cut the protrusion so that it is only about one centimeter, and then fold it down or make folds with the teeth of a fork. Put it in the freezer for 30 minutes. While the base is cooling, preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

Bake the base: After 30 minutes, take the base out of the freezer and place some beans in the center, so that it does not swell. Bake for 20 minutes or until the edges are slightly browned. Take it out of the oven and remove the beans. Reduce the oven temperature to 180 degrees. Pour the crushed chocolate on the bottom of the hot base. Let it melt for 2-3 minutes and then use a spatula to smooth the melted chocolate in a uniform layer.

To make the filling: Break the eggs into a large bowl and beat with a hand mixer until fluffy. Add the sugars and melted butter and beat to combine. Add the flour, milk, vanilla and salt and beat again until well combined. Add the pecans.

To bake the chocolate pie: Pour the filling into the prepared base. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the filling sets. You may need to cover the edges of the dough with foil in the middle of the baking process to make sure they do not burn. Wait for the chocolate pie to cool completely to serve.
