After a methodical investigation by the Larissa Security Sub-Directorate, -9- thefts were discovered, of which -6- committed and -3- attempted, committed in the city of Larissa and a case file was filed, as the case may be, against -5- nationals and one of an as yet unknown person.

In particular, as emerged from the progress of the police investigation, during the period from 27-11-2022 to 11-01-2023 in Larissa, in -6- cases, the perpetrators, with the same or different composition each time, acting mainly in the early hours of the morning, with their features covered and in some cases, cutting off the power supply, in order not to record their movements, they removed from various places (stands, tavern, workshop, warehouse, commercial store) the following:

  • two safes, one of which contained the sum of -20,000- euros and -500- British pounds, while the second contained no money,
  • in addition, the total amount of -1,650- euros,
  • various tobacco products,
  • -10- bottles of alcoholic beverages &
  • -1- audio system speaker.

In addition, it was established that in other -3- cases, during the aforementioned time period, the perpetrators broke or breached the entrances/windows of three other places in the city (diagnostic laboratory, public institution and warehouse), with the intention of theft, without however completing the their actions.

In a lawful search carried out at the perpetrator’s home, the following were found and confiscated:

  • -8- tobacco packages that had been removed during the robbery at a stand, six of which contained -20- electronic cigarette capsules each and the remaining two tobacco, weighing -30- grams each,
  • -2- blouses and
  • -1- portable wireless,

while in addition, it was confiscated -1- I.X. passenger car, as a means of facilitating their illegal activity.

The filed case file will be submitted to the Criminal Prosecutor of Larisa.
