An explosion of imports has been recorded in the last few days in the country’s hospitals as a result of the Omicron mutation.
Indicatively, the imports from 413 on December 28, rose to 442 on December 31 and to 452 on January 3, while yesterday, January 4, they jumped to 641, increased by 42% compared to the previous day. Of these, about 270 admissions were made to hospitals in Attica.
According to data from the General Secretariat of Health Services, sampling tests were performed on 441 patients admitted to hospitals from December 29 to January 3, and of these 185, it appears that they were with Omicron, ie 42%.
In total, however, 4,318 patients with coronavirus are currently hospitalized in the territory of the territory, of which 3,314 are in single beds and 1,004 in ICU, MAF and special beds.
The pressure is not more intense in simple beds and emergencies, while as the data so far show, the Omicron mutation does not seem to be pressing the ICU.
