The events for the celebration of the National Anniversary of March 25, 1821 began early this morning in Attica with the firing of 21 salute shots from the artillery of Lycabettus and the execution of Eothinos by the music sections of the Armed Forces and the Security Forces.

At 08:00 the official raising of the National Flag takes place on the Holy Rock of the Acropolis, while at 10:00 the official doxology will take place in the Cathedral of Athens, presided over by His Beatitude Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Hieronymus II, in the presence of the President of the Hellenic of Democracy Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

At 10:01, 21 salute shots will be fired from the Lycabettus artillery, while at 10:55 a wreath will be laid by the President of the Hellenic Republic at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier.

At 11:00 the parade of the Armed Forces and the Security Forces will begin in front of the monument of the Unknown Soldier, in front of the President of the Hellenic Republic.

At 6:41 p.m., the official lowering of the National Flag is scheduled on the Holy Rock of the Acropolis with the firing of 21 saluting shots from the Lycabettus artillery.

From Friday 24th to Sunday 26th March, the frigate “Themistocles” and the high-speed guided missile patrol boat “Karathanasis” will be docked in the port of Piraeus and the public will be able to freely visit them.

There will also be free entry to the War Museum.

At the same time, parades of military units will take place throughout the territory, there will be a general flag decoration of the units, military stores and warships, as well as illumination of the units, military stores and warships during the evening hours of March 24 and 25.

THE Municipality of Piraeus honors the 25th of March again this year and participates with an action of a symbolic nature in the celebration of our national anniversary.

Events will also be held at Thessaloniki for the national anniversary of March 25.

On the 25th of March, according to the program of the Region of Central Macedonia for the events, at 10 a.m. an official Doxology will be held at the Temple of God Wisdom, at 10.30 a wreath will be laid at the Hero of the 3rd Army Corps, while at 11.15 a.m. the parade of representative student, political and military sections took place on M. Alexandrou Avenue, ending at the White Tower.

The official Ceremony for the National Anniversary of March 25th is planned for 6 pm on Saturday at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (“Alexandros Papanastasiou” Ceremony Hall of the Old Philosophical School of AUTH). The ceremony of the day will be delivered by Mr. professor of the Faculty of Law of the AUTH Akritas Kaidatzis, on the topic: “The liberal and democratic constitutionalism of the Revolution of 1821”
