In 2009, during the mayorship of Michalis Tamilou, the first reconstruction of the space was completed, containing the first objects of the exhibition about Mitropanos. It is a permanent exhibition about the great three-year-old performer, which describes through the exhibits his entire journey from the district to his emergence as a form of Greek song. As the visitor ascends to the upstairs hall, the title of one of the artist’s songs is written on each step, while the records refer to the 45 years of interpretation and contribution of the artist from Trikala. On the walls of the hall there are excerpts from interviews, as well as announcements about the collaboration with various centers where he sang.

His hometown is honoring him with this exhibition which has already become a magnet for visitors as we highlight and enrich the Trikaline contribution to our folk song.
