He turned himself in this morning to the Crimes Against Life Unit
A 33-year-old man, a citizen of Albania, surrendered this morning to the Crimes Against Life Department and was arrested for complicity in his murder 40-year-old plumber in cafe in Nea Ionia on February 21.
The 40-year-old plumber had gone to the cafe on the fateful night to watch a football match when he was fatally wounded by a bullet received during a shootout between two Albanian gangs, according to police.
According to ELAS, the 33-year-old Albanian presented himself this morning of his own accord to the Life Crimes Department of the Attica Security Directorate, where he was arrested on the basis of a warrant for complicity in homicide.
It is recalled that a few days ago, specifically on 20/3, a 23-year-old man was arrested by Kypseli security officers for the same case.
The man, aged 23, was found at 12:30 noon on Monday on Thiras Street. An arrest warrant was pending against him, as against six other people, on the charge of premeditated homicide by the Athens District Attorney’s Office, which ordered his arrest and detention.
As part of the investigation of the case, they have been issued seven arrest warrants for the murderous confrontation with the victim, the 40-year-old plumber.
Two of the main perpetrators of the bloody incident, the foreign “leaders” of the two gangs that exchanged shots on the fateful night, are said to have fled abroad.
