Today at 12.00 noon, the two arrested Pakistanis who planned to bleed the Jewish synagogue in Athenain order to apologize for being members of a terrorist organization that was planning targeted attacks in our country.

The two arrested have been charged with forming and joining a terrorist organization, which is considered a felony.

At the same time, the operation of the National Intelligence Service and the anti-terrorist agency under the code name “Hyacinthos” is in full progress, as the investigations for people who may have been recruited by the two terrorists in order to participate in the final phase of their plan have not been closed.

According to police sources, more than 15 Pakistanis have been arrested so far, but no evidence of their involvement in the terrorist network has emerged.

However, under the microscope of the Authorities, three or four persons have entered who appear to have been talking through an online messaging application with the two arrested.

With the data so far in the hands of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Anti-Terrorism, it seems that the core of the terrorist network in our country was the 27-year-old Haider, who is also considered the leader of the terrorist attack planned by the 29-year-old Hussein.

This also emerges from the chilling conversations that were decoded by ELAS’s forensic laboratories and revealed Haider’s conversations with the 30-year-old “mentor” from Iran.

From the conversations it appears that they wanted as many dead as possible as the 30-year-old “guide” who allegedly lives in Tehran, promised them a payment of thousands of euros for each dead person.

Speaking to SKAI, the Minister of Civil Protection Takis Theodorikakos he emphasized that the motives of the two arrested were exclusively financial while he continued saying that there does not seem to be a “mastermind” in Greece, nor the participation of Greeks in the terrorist network that the two Pakistani terrorists were trying to set up.

Another piece of the puzzle that the authorities are asked to piece together is the supplier(s) of weapons to the two terrorists.

In a conversation between the “guide” and Haider, a person is mentioned who would give them the weapons to attack the synagogue after the explosion they would cause:

Haider: “I have a friend on another island who has guns.”

Instructor: “Take them and send me pictures of you holding them.”

Who is the mysterious island man supplying weapons and what does he know about the terrorist attack the two Pakistanis were planning? Is it from the field of criminal crime as only there one could obtain weapons and especially heavy weapons?

The case is considered extremely serious and as officers with knowledge of terrorism issues say until all questions are answered the case will not be closed.
