The new extension to Evros covers 35 kilometers between Psathades Didymoteicho and Kornofolia Soufli
It will become inaccessible the Greek-Turkish border of Evros with the extension of the fence, but also with the use of state-of-the-art means of surveillance, according to a report by SKAI journalist Giorgos Protopsaltis. This is an amount contract almost 100 million euros.
The new extension to Evros it concerns 35 kilometers between Psathades Didymoteicho and Kornofolia Soufliou. There were 11 kilometers further north, from Kastanies to Vyssa, and 28 kilometers in the southern part of Evros, in Feres.
Details on the new expansion
STANDARDS

“The fence in Evros is working effectively and will be expanded”

Regarding the objections that exist, he emphasized: “The first thing I want to say to those who have objections is to first go for a walk in Evros, talk to the residents and understand that there is not a single one who does not want the construction of the fence”.
Regarding the completion of the project and the elections, Mr. Theodorikakos emphasized: “I hope that if the Greek people trust us and I believe they will, we can immediately after the elections plan the construction of the next kilometers as well so that within in the next two or three years to complete the project in Evros”.
