In the last 24 hours, 13 people were arrested for violating the drug law and 6 people for convictions
A total of 19 people were arrested in various areas of Thessaloniki in the last 24 hours by police officers of the city’s Security and Immediate Action Directorates, as part of the targeted controls they carry out, to deal with drug trafficking, the detection and arrest of fugitives and wanted persons relevant warrants.
Specifically, as stated in today’s relevant police announcement, 13 people were arrested in the last 24 hours for violating the drug law. Among them, two citizens aged 28 and 27, who were caught this morning by police officers of the “G” Group of the Direct Action Directorate of Thessaloniki, as they were in possession of a small package of cannabis with a total weight of 54 grams.
In addition, in the last 24 hours, six people were arrested for convictions. The case of the arrest of a 48-year-old citizen by police officers of the Harilaou – Assumption Security Department yesterday afternoon is typical, as it was found that he had a pending decision of the Five-member Criminal Appeal Court of Thessaloniki, by which he was sentenced to eight years in prison, for violating the law on foreigners . According to the police, those arrested will be taken to the competent Prosecutor.
