There is no end to the incidents of domestic violence that concern the police authorities of Crete.

It is typical that during yesterday two new cases of wild fights between families mobilized the authorities.

According to information from cretapost, it started in the morning when a fight broke out between a son and his mother in a house in Heraklion.

In fact, the 49-year-old son did not hesitate to attack the 71-year-old, hitting her in the face and body.

The police were immediately called and arrested the 49-year-old with his mother stating that she wishes to prosecute him. However, his arrest was made ex officio while he himself, due to the psychiatric problems he is facing, was taken to the Psychiatric Clinic by order of the prosecutor.

Ex-wife threatened 30-year-old

The second incident of domestic violence occurred in a neighborhood of Heraklion yesterday afternoon.

According to information from cretapost, a 30-year-old man went to his ex-wife’s house and started threatening and swearing at her.

The 27-year-old reported the incident to the police saying that it was not an isolated incident but quite often her ex-husband threatens and scares her.

As soon as the 30-year-old learned about the complaint made by the 27-year-old, he voluntarily went to the police station and surrendered, resulting in his arrest.
