The Parents’ Association claims that fan confrontations have been transferred to school grounds
The Union of Parents of Students of the Municipality of Ioannito makes very serious complaints about the fan violence, with its announcement a few days after the bloody clash in Seismoplyta.
The Parents’ Association claims that fan confrontations have been transferred to school grounds.
In fact, it attributes to such confrontations and vandalism of schools that have occurred recently, such as EPAL and the schools in Katsikas.
He also describes as a “common secret” the constant effort to “recruit” students from fan associations, which on paper have been abolished but in reality seem to be still operating.
What does it say?
The Union of Parents of Students D, Ioannites is following with particular concern the phenomenon of the escalation of fan violence in our city. We condemn in the most unequivocal way the murderous clash in Seismoplatta and the criminal activity of various gangs and criminal groups who, under the “pretext” of sports, attempt to poison the lives and consciences of young people.
We are particularly concerned by the fact that an attempt is being made to transfer fan confrontations to school premises. This is evidenced by the recent vandalism of school buildings (eg EPAL-Katsikas) in which the vandals left their mark by writing fan slogans. After all, it is a “common secret” the constant effort to recruit students from fan associations (which by the way have been “abolished” !!!), exploiting the love for their team.
What is he asking for?
The Parents’ Association calls on local authorities and mass organizations to take initiatives to deconstruct fandom and effectively strengthen mass sports.
It also asks the Parents’ Associations, each individual parent, teachers and students, to contribute to the isolation of the phenomenon of fan violence and to prevent any attempt to transfer it to school premises.
“Schools are not – nor will we allow them to become – a “stand” for the big players in sports to resolve their differences,” he concludes.
