See how compensation will be paid and who it concerns
“Payment Barrage” starting today, Holy Wednesday and until May 10, which concern the animal and plant production of the country according to a joint announcement by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.
They are paid today compensations of 65 million euros from ELGA for crops of the primary sector, whose losses occurred within the year 2022.
Furthermore, within April 4.3 million euros will be allocated for the fires of the year 2022 in P.E. Lesvos, Rethymno, Fokidos, while the producers whose crops were damaged and were not detected by the European Copernicus satellite system, in the case of the Fires of 2021 in P.E. Attica, Achaia, Ilia, Korinthia, Messinia, Fthiotidos, will receive aid of approximately 1 million euros.
According to the same announcement, within the next month The payment of aid of 3 million euros is expected, for the 2021 fires, in the cases of producers who were outside the European Copernicus satellite system, such as those of Eastern Mani, while within the first ten days of May, the process of paying the remaining 30% for the producers whose crops were affected by the “Frost 2021”, as well as the aid for the cases of the producers, who did not join the MCA of the Ad Hoc Program “Spring 2021”. The cost of these compensations amounts to 7 million euros.
At the same time, until tomorrow, Maundy Thursday, the compensations under the de minimis state aid program amounting to 28.08 million euros will be credited to the beneficiaries, which concern:
- Peaches, pips, nectarines and apricots (70 euros/hectare), amounting to 16.12 million euros, for the P.E. Pella, Imathia, Larissa, Florina, Pieria, Kozani, Kilkis.
- Peaches, pips, nectarines and apricots for damage due to rainfall in P.E. Pella, Imathia, Florina, Larissa, Kozani (80 euros/acre and 65 euros/acre), amounting to 11.96 million euros.
Scheduled, immediately after Easterthe payment of de minimis compensations for:
- Table grapes P.E. Kavala, Serres, Kilkis, Halkidiki, amounting to 3.1 million euros.
- Wine grapes of Tyrnavos, amounting to 1.82 million euros.
- Beans, Gigantes P.E. Florina, Kastoria, amounting to 1.59 million euros.
- Marathon greenhouses, amounting to 1.42 million euros.
- Asparagus of Almopia, amounting to 571.5 thousand euros.
- Almonds of 3 communities P.E. Magnesia, amounting to 562.5 thousand euros.
- Territory sugar beet, amounting to 232.9 thousand euros.
- Vootrofos of Northern Evia, amounting to 26.9 thousand euros.
In addition, in the context of de minimis, the transport equivalent of 12.5 million euros, which concerns the islands, is paid.
The total amount of de minimis compensation amounts to 49.9 million euros.
Regarding the payments related to the aid through the temporary support framework for the Ukrainian crisis, around 25.15 million euros will be credited today:
- For the apples of the territory, amounting to 17.7 million euros, which mainly concerns the P.E. Larissa, Magnesia, Kastoria, Kozani
- For the chestnuts of the territory, with reference mainly to P.E. Larisa, Pella, Arkadia, Kilkis, amounting to 7.45 million euros.
Finally, according to the announcement, sent to the European Commission for approvala second set of compensation claims, based on the temporary framework for state aid due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine (Ukrainometer), in the amount of EUR 30.43 million, to be paid after receiving the relevant approval and concerns:
- Bees of the territory, amounting to 12 million euros (mainly in the PEs of Heraklion, Chania, Aitoloakarnania, Halkidiki, Larissa).
- Territory tobacco, amounting to 5.69 million euros (mainly in the PEs of Rodopi, Xanthi, Pieria, Serres).
- Corinthian raisins, amounting to 4.72 million euros (mainly in the PEs of Corinth, Achaia, Ilia, Messinia).
- Local pears, amounting to 4.70 million euros (mainly in the P.E. of Larissa, Magnesia, Pella, Imathia)
- territory asparagus, amounting to 2.61 million Euros (mainly in the PEs of Pella, Kavala, Evros, Xanthi)
- Saffron territory, amounting to 707.5 thousand euros (P.E. Kozani).
The above aid payment amounts through the temporary framework are totaling 55.58 million euros.
