In the park there will be surprises for young and old, while local clubs will dance traditional dances
The Region of Attica celebrates Easter, Sunday, April 16, with a big celebration, open to all citizens, in the “Antonis Tritsis” Metropolitan Park.
The traditional celebration will start from 11:00 in the morning and includes live Greek music, traditional food, wine and the spitting of the obelia.
The entrance is free. The event is organized by the Region of Attica, the Agency of the “Antonis Tritsis” Metropolitan Park, with co-organizers the Municipalities of Ilio and Ag. Anargyron Kamaterou. The municipalities of Peristeri, Haidari, Ag. Varvara, Petroupoli and Aegaleo.
The visitors will be welcomed early in the morning by the groups of volunteers and workers of the Park. In the park there will be surprises for young and old, while local clubs will dance traditional dances.
Well-known concert groups will alternate on stage. Artistic lineup (alphabetically): Katsigianni Katerina, Kyritsis Antonis, Perysinakis Paris, Skordalos Giorgos, Teganouria Zoi, Filippidi Lefkothea, 3-member group with musicians from Pontus. Musicians: Kotsinis Giorgos, Konstantinou Thomas – lute, Marinakis Giorgos – violin, Platakis Manousos – percussion, 3-member group with musicians from Pontus (voice, lyre, tambourine), 5-member group of musicians by Ms. Katsigianni. The artistic editing of the program is by Giorgos Kotsinis.
