“On the afternoon of Holy Saturday, the great lady of theater and cinema, Katerina Helmi, left us. A rare person, an excellent teacher, always close to young people with her wide, caring smile” is stated in an announcement by the PASOK-Movement for Change Culture sector.
He adds, “During her career, she has appeared in more than 25 films and 4 TV series. She has served the Greek theater ethically for over five decades, in high-level performances and countless performances, a real theatrics. He had also been engaged in writing several books. Her husband was professor and academic Konstantinos Svolopoulos. Katerina Helmi was politically active in PASOK, as a member of the Union Committee of Scientists-Artists.
