Two years after the murder of the journalist, Giorgos Karaivaz, the widow Statha Alexandropoulou Karaivaz posted a touching message of love to her late husband.

In her Facebook message, she points out how difficult the holidays are for those who have lost their loved ones and emphasizes that “Christ is Risen” is a wish that takes on another dimension in the minds of those who experience loss.

The entire post

Christ is Risen, a wish that takes on a different dimension in the mind of each one of us, and especially to those who these days are experiencing the loss, the lack of their loved one.
Difficult days the holidays so bright and happy for the happy but for the sad, heavy cloudy let’s pass and get back to normality. For me and for millions of others on the planet, I think we say with relief that this too has passed. Finally back to the same as before without having to wear masks of joy, Oh no I can’t be happy while I’m missing you, I can’t cook and don’t tell me, tell me what you made again baby, I can’t let others arrange that they will go on vacation and I will look at the wall. But I can do everything and I got meat from your favorite butcher and I cooked what I liked and we made a table for our family my love and the food was a poem as you would say, that I am a giant nanny and everything happened. Only I don’t know if I was here or if I was trying to find a way to fly to the clouds so that I might meet you even for a while, let’s hold hands and make such a small dream, a hug, a look, a silent I love you.
I love you so much and I miss you so, so much They didn’t leave us room to be able to help you even in the slightest, not even a tight hug
Unfortunately I only saw you lying on your face straight and proud as you always were, even the bullets didn’t bend you my love, your body was so straight but I didn’t get to see you before you left for eternity I didn’t get to hold your hand Have a nice trip to heaven . Christ is Risen my love.
