The Hellenic Scout Corps is going to hold a Panhellenic event youth meeting from 19 to 21 April 2023 on the secluded island of Chioson the occasion of the celebration of 110 years of Chia Scouting. The action is entitled “P.A.P.E.” (Panhellenic Scouting Cultural Information) is a Panhellenic Scouting activity of cultural content with the participation of Scouts (girls and boys of high school age 15-18 years), from all over Greece.

“P.A.P.E.” was first held in 1983, in an effort to enable Explorers to present research objects that are relevant to culture, environment and society. “P.A.P.E” takes place every year in a different city and is the biggest cultural meeting of teenagers in our country.

The main object of this action is the exchange of opinions and concerns of teenagers through the presentation of research they have carried out on various social, environmental and cultural issues. At the same time, there are competitions for dance, short films, TV spots, photography and sketches, literature, applications and even music groups, always by the children themselves.

The participation every year ranges from 800-1000 Scouts, lasts three or four days and takes place every year during the Easter holidays. This year’s participation in Chios will exceed 900 people.

During the PA.P.E. there will be actions such as workshops, research forums as well as special categories, research and documentaries, such as “Green Research” and the historical-anniversary documentary on the theme “60 years since the Jamboree of Marathon”.

In the context of P.A.P.E. “prisma”, the newest activity of the biggest cultural meeting of teenagers, is also taking place. Interesting people share with teenagers stories, personal experiences and trials, which have characterized their path and led them to change. Their personal journey and ideas are food for thought and provoke a productive reflection.

This year’s speakers will be:

– Jerome Kaluta, singer & actor
