Four young people, were arrested yesterday who committed robberies using weapons or threatening physical violence against pedestrians in the area of ​​Glyfada.

Yesterday morning police officers of the DI.AS team. Southeastern Attica of the Direct Action Directorate of Attica, located in Alimos and arrested four people, who were wanted for a robbery that took place a short time earlier.

It is about a 21-year-old Greek woman and three foreigners aged 16, 17 and 18, who together with another 16-year-old, who is wanted, attacked a pedestrian and, using physical violence, took his wallet, which contained money and personal documents .

From the surveys that were carried out in the vehicle in which the persons were traveling as well as from their possession, among other things, a full face hood and the removed wallet with 50 euros, which was attributed to the victim, were found and confiscated.

As found, the defendants had set up a gang, who committed robberies against pedestrians, during the commission of which, they did not hesitate to use violence in order to extort money, valuables and other objects from them.

From the preliminary investigation carried out by the Glyfada Security Department were found out two more cases of robberies involving the 21-year-old

  • On April 16 in Glyfada, they had attacked two 20-year-old citizens who, after immobilizing them by using physical violence and threatening them with a knife, took away the sum of 150 euros.
  • On April 13, they robbed three minors and, under the threat of physical violence, took a sum of money, a jacket and a watch.

The arrested, with the case filed against them for gang formation and robberies as a follow-up and as an accomplice, they were taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens, who referred them to an Investigator.
