The scenarios examined by the Ministry of Health for the filling of the gaps that will arise from the dismissal of the unvaccinated health workers after March 31 are revealed by SKAI.
Thanos Plevris had foreshadowed the government’s intentions since mid-December, when the amendment was passed to extend the measure of suspension of unvaccinated health workers until March 31, and even then his reports were considered ultimatum.
It is noted that of the 6,500 health workers who refused to be vaccinated and were suspended, about 1,500 returned with a disease certificate.
The Ministry of Health is considering making vaccination against the coronavirus mandatory for the specific sector and to remove from their duties after March 31 those who are not vaccinated through the termination of their contract. This also applies to those who have returned due to illness.
At the same time, the Ministry of Health is already discussing how to fill the gaps in health that are to be fired. SKAI information states that between the ministers, Maki Voridis and Thanos Plevris, the immediate announcement of the positions on the basis of the 1: 1 rule has been discussed, ie a recruitment for a departure, but also the scenario of turning the three-month contracts into eight months.
