One of the biggest financial scandals of recent years, that of the Folli Follie company, has started to be tried in the Three-Member Criminal Court of Appeals with the former major shareholders, Dimitris and George Koutsolioutsous and Kati Koutsolioutsou and close associates and high associates.

At the start of the trial, which was adjourned for the 19th of the month, heaps of requests were raised regarding the choice of another larger courtroom, but also the possibility to appear as political plaintiffs (to support the accusation) insurance funds and private investors who were financially affected. from the legal activity of the managers of the company.

Among those who filed a civil lawsuit was the Hellenic Investors Association, which filed the first lawsuit in the case, the Hellenic Capital Market Commission, EFKA, EOPY, AlphaBank, from various companies, one of which participated in the increase of the company’s share capital. , as well as individual investors.

The common denominator of all civil claims is the damage that, according to the lawyers, they have suffered from the criminal acts attributed to the accused and that they have been deceived for a long time, reserving even appealing to the civil courts for their satisfaction.

A request was also made to summon and attend a Chinese-born associate of the company who was considered to be of unknown residence and was not summoned.

Also during the current proceedings, the interim administration of Folli Follie submitted a request to the court to order the release of seven properties in order (referred to the court by the court) in order to implement the agreement with the bondholders and lenders. This agreement deals with debt relief so that creditors and bondholders can be compensated.
