Free on parole the two men accused of involvement in the case of antiquities theft, which was recently revealed and who were not arrested during the large police operation, were released on Thursday morning, after their confession before the investigative authorities in Heraklion.

It is about the 72-year-old who allegedly “surprised” the 69-year-old Sicilian in the group of the three main defendants and a 44-year-old private employee from a village in the municipality of Malevizio, a relative of the baker who a few days ago was remanded in custody for the case, together with the carpenter and the former harbor.

According to Cretalive’s information, both denied any involvement in the case, also pointing out that they knew nothing about the ring’s activity.
The 44-year-old, who behaves to exploit together with another the field in which the farmhouses with the ancients were located, claimed that at some point his baker relative asked him for the keys to the farmhouses, but he did not have them and referred him to the owner.
He even stated that when he was in the disputed field he found that the lock hubs had been changed.

To the old man the restrictive condition of appearing once a month at the Police Department was imposed, as was the 44-year-old, who was also banned from leaving the country.
