Her Foreign Ministry North Macedonia reacted regarding last night’s episode in Thessaloniki, when hooded men who appeared as members of the Golden Dawn, invaded an exhibition of an artist from Skopje, in a hall of the Municipality of Kalamaria.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia, in a statement, announces that it has summoned the Greek ambassador to Skopje regarding the episode.

In his announcement Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia states the following: “Last night in Thessaloniki, during the exhibition of the artist Sergey Andreevski, a group of masked men broke into the gallery, tried to interrupt the exhibition with obscene and vulgar verbal behavior and then left.

Although there was no physical violence or property damage, the threats and verbal attacks led to the police being called and fully informed of the incident.

The Consulate General of North Macedonia in Thessaloniki and the Embassy in Athens were notified of the incident, which immediately contacted the competent Greek authorities, while the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs was also informed of the incident.

During today’s day, the ambassador of Greece has been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sophia Filippidouin which expectations will be expressed for the taking of all measures, by the neighboring country, regarding the identification and prosecution of the perpetrators”.
