With a gathering outside the Labor Center of Patras, in the National Resistance Square, and a march through the main streets of the city, Labor Day was celebrated this year in the Achaean capital.

During the gathering, where the slogan, “the struggles of the workers of the whole world will win”, took place, unions, unions, organizations, student associations, pensioners, political parties, etc. participated.

The mayor of Patreon, Kostas Peletidis, along with the municipal authority, also participated.

After the speeches of representatives of the Labor Center and unions, a march followed, which ended outside the labor center.

Earlier, delegations from the Labor Center and the municipal authority laid wreaths in National Resistance Square, in honor of the dead workers.

With rainy weather and two different gatherings it was celebrated at Chania Labor Day.

The Labor Center of Chania, together with other organizations and parties, held a rally at the peace and workers’ monument in Pasakaki. The event included a memorial service, greetings from the organizers and laying of wreaths.

At the same time, representatives from primary unions, left-wing parties and city agencies held a rally in front of the city’s municipal market and marched through the main streets of Chania. The participants in the mobilization carried banners and shouted slogans about Labor Day.
